Your sacrifice to diminish Islamophobia
For just £240, you can reap the blessings of feeding your Qurbani to key workers and non-Muslims. Follow in the footsteps of the prophets and help change people’s perception of Muslims this Eid.
With the intention of doing Dawah and outreach, your Qurbani will be prepared and delivered to various key workers within the non-Muslim communities by our volunteers in order to spread the joy of Islam. Every week, on the blessed day of Jummah, your Qurbani will be cooked, prepared and hand-delivered door to door to public organisations and public sector services as a gift to them. Not only will the communities benefit from this, you will also gain rewards from contributing to changing the perception of Islam amongst society. Your one Qurbani donation will be used to feed up to 200 people within the United Kingdom.
During Ramadan 2021, our volunteers distributed up to 2000 food parcels to front line staff working throughout the pandemic as a way of spreading the kindness of Islam. These included teachers, police, refuse collectors and health professionals. The community expressed great appreciation to our volunteers as can be seen on our social media pages.

Overwhelming and Warm Reactions
The food packages delivered since Ramadan has had an overwhelming, the response from keyworkers and the community has been positive.
The Chief Constable of Leicestershire Police, Mr Simon Cole said: “Lots of officers and staff are observing Ramadan and many will be able to end their daily fast with this delicious food. We are very grateful to the Hijaz Community for their generous donation and appreciation at a time when our staff has faced additional pressures during the pandemic.”
A local Pastor, John Hitchock, who received a food parcel as a neighbour said: “Thank you so much for your kind food gift that my son and I much enjoyed eating this evening. I am a Christian minister and know how the extreme ‘wings’ of our faiths destroy the overall peaceful and loving mission of our faiths. Your kind gesture does much to bring attention to this aspect of our faiths, so different from the picture we so often see on the various media of extreme acts which cannot be justified by any interpretation of Holy writings and adversely colour the opinion of the general public.”
A neighbour in Nuneaton, by the name of Rachael said: “It really was a lovely surprise when we got a knock on the door and three lovely ladies handed us some curry and wished us a lovely evening. It was very nice of them. We really appreciated the gesture.”
Another neighbour from Hinckley by the name of Shannon said: “Hello, I just wanted to say thank you again, I was a bit taken aback as it’s rare to get something for nothing and don’t think I came across appreciative enough for your generosity!”
100% of your donation will go directly into the food distribution towards key-workers. The £240 includes not only the cost of the whole sheep sacrificed in your name, which means your Qurbani will provide the meat for this Dawah Qurbani Project. Along with the meat, your donation covers the costs of all the ingredients and items required to prepare and distribute the food packages.
As we have been distributing already, we have calculated that one whole sheep provides the meat of up to 100 boxes of food. 1 box can easily feed 2 people. This means your Qurbani will feed up to 200 key workers, helping them feel appreciated and bringing them the warmth of Islamic values.
